A water dam border prevents water from reaching floors, preventing damage by holding up to 1.5 gallons of water from shoes. Rubber backing is made with 20% recycled rubber from car tires. Beveled edges provide a safe transition from floor to mat and are certified high-traction from the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI). PET fabric is made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic from drink bottles, solution-dyed, resistant to staining, dries quickly, and will not fade or rot. Clean by vacuuming or hosing the mat down.
